*Write short notes on the following :
1- Noun phrase (NP)

A) A word or a group of words that has its own meaning .
B) The most important element in this group is the noun .
C) That's why the head of the NP is the noun N.
D) The NP may be ( determiner + noun ) .
E) The NP may be one- word phrase .
F) The NP may be a modifiable noun .
G) The NP may be a pronoun .


2- Verb phrase (VP)

A) The verb is the head in the VP.
B) In sense, the NP completes the VP .
C) There are many types of verbs ;
[1] Intransitive verb .
[2] Transitive verb
[3] Mono transitive verb .
[4] Ditransitive transitive verb.
[5] Complex transitive verb .


3-Prepositional phrase (PP)

A) Is a phrase consists of a preposition followed by a noun phrase or a sentence.
B) The preposition is the head of the PP .
C) The head (p) may be preceded by NP.



3- Adjective phrase (Adj p)

A) Is a phrase consists of an adjective.
B) The head of an Adj P is an adjective .
C) The Adj p may consist of a head adjective only .
D) The head Adj p may be preceded by adverb phrase.
E) The head Adj P may also be followed by a PP or S as its complement.
